As Americans we simply take advantage of the fact that we have no obligations to anyone other than ourselves. We are not suppressed by evil rulers, nor do the majority of us want for much of anything. As Americans we can work, play, love and live long happy life's with little effort. Some people in the world are not so lucky. Americans sometimes seem to forget the price paid by others to make all this happen for us, and even take for granted our freedom will always be there. The fact is that many men and women have paid the ultimate price. That price being.....death, and that is what this song is about. They stood in the face of our enemy with our freedom being compromised more than once, and in the end died for it. The American Eagle pays tribute to every man and woman who has sacrificed it all. We wrote this song so Americans will never forget. We truly believe the American eagle is a song that expresses the sacrifice many made in order for all Americans to enjoy the best gift possible... freedom. The reason we wrote the American eagle, what I think is a tell all American Song is simple....when the United States went back to Iraq after September 11th, musicians and songwriters came out with a lot of patriotic songs about what they felt made us feel proud to be Americans. There is nothing wrong with that, but my brother and I felt that none reflected what all of us should ever forget....Freedom is not free. A musician once told me that if you have a hundred thousand dollars, any one can have a song played on the airwaves no matter what. In order to express what we feel is the best summary of a American song and sums up the cost of our freedom, we need your contributions in order to publish and present this song nation wide. We need your help, America needs your help. Listen to the video below and see if you agree.
